Jegorović: Modernization of children’s resorts is our main task

Belgrade, October 27, 2022 – The Center for children’s resorts and rehabilitation of the City of Belgrade (CDL) celebrated its festivity St. Petka in the restaurant Šuplja stena in Avala.

The host of this year’s celebration, the director of the Center, Ivan Jegorović, greeted the guests present and pointed out that the goal of the institution is the accelerated modernization of CDL facilities, which will benefit the youngest ones the most.

“It is a great honor to host for the first time a famous institution such as the Center for children’s resorts. We have existed for a full 66 years and our task is not to return CDL to the paths of its old glory, but to completely modernize it and adapt it to the market for the benefit of all our users, first and foremost our children. There is almost no one in Serbia who has not been to one of our facilities on the most beautiful Serbian mountains at least once. I sincerely believe that generations after us will enjoy the benefits of nature” – said Ivan Jegorović, recently appointed director of CDL

Among the numerous guests were actors Aleksandar Dunić, Predrag Damnjanović, Dimitrije Ilić, journalists Nenad and Mirjana Pavlović, MP Đorđe Komlenski, assistant director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Ivan Vujić, director of the “Vlada Aksentijević” library Vukašin Ljuština, businessman Stefan Babić, the champion of Serbia in boxing Aleksa Mandić, the president of FC Strelac Dalibor Lazić and others.

About the CDL

CDL was founded in 1956 as a specialized, dedicated institution for organizing vacations and recreation for children.

Thanks to the work of CDL, the city of Belgrade has its own institution, which provides the youngest with a safe stay in nature, in the clean air, with well-designed facilities. CDL is an indispensable link in the system, together with schools and kindergartens, which ensures that the conditions for the overall development of children are complete.

This institution is under the authority of the Secretariat for Education and Child Protection of the City of Belgrade, which enables the right for children to spend the winter or summer at a regressed price in CDL facilities.
