ARGENTINE TRICK FOR PERFECT TASTE: RECIPE FOR A FANTASTIC SAUCE READY IN 5 MINUTES
Chimichurri is a favorite Argentinian herb sauce that is an excellent accompaniment to chicken, pork, lamb, as well as potato and other vegetable dishes. Argentinians like it best with juicy steaks and grilled meat, and in their gastronomy it is so popular that it has the status of a ritual, just like drinking tea in Britain.
Although at first glance it looks like Italian pesto, the taste is different, and if you haven’t tried it yet, it could delight you with its refreshing but full flavor.
Ingredients for chimichurri:
25 g of fresh parsley leaves
25 g of fresh coriander leaves
5 g of fresh marjoram leaves
2 cloves of garlic
½ teaspoon grated lime zest
2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
¼ teaspoon of salt
¼ teaspoon ground red pepper
Preparation of chimichurri:
Mix all the ingredients in a blender until you get a green and fragrant sauce and serve it with meat dishes. The sauce will taste best if you use the freshest herbs.
