This time, the city has announced plans to build the world’s first “Golden Street” — a project set to redefine the concept of luxury tourism. The new attraction, known as Gold Street, will be part of the broader Dubai Gold District development, further strengthening the emirate’s reputation as a destination where even the boldest ideas become reality.

Dubai has long been described as a place where “streets are paved with gold,” thanks to its high standard of living, tax-free income, and lavish lifestyle. Now, that saying is set to take on a literal meaning.

City authorities are planning a street that will incorporate gold into its construction, although the exact method of integrating the precious metal into the infrastructure has not yet been disclosed. The Golden Street will be located near the famous Gold Souk, in the historic district of Deira. This area is well known for its long-standing trading tradition, especially in gold, jewelry, spices, and perfumes.
